It depends far more on the site than on the square footage — how much has to be excavated, how equipment gets into the backyard, how much the grade has to change, and what the weather does that week. A small walkway and a multi-level outdoor living area are different jobs by an order of magnitude. We give you a realistic schedule with your estimate rather than a number designed to sound good, and if something moves it you will hear it from us.

Yes. We come out, walk the space, take measurements and talk through how you actually use the yard before anything is quoted. For projects where the layout is genuinely open, we can produce a 3D design so you can see the patio, wall or fire pit in your own yard and change your mind while changing it is still free.

Hardscape work continues through much of the central North Carolina winter — excavation, base work, pavers and walls are far less weather-dependent than most people assume. Concrete pours and planting are the two things genuinely constrained by temperature, and we will tell you if waiting for a better window would give you a better result.

We will tell you what your project needs. Requirements vary between the municipalities we work in, and walls above a certain height or work near an easement are treated differently from an at-grade patio. Where an HOA needs a submission, we can supply the drawings and material details you need to send them.
